Alejandro Munoz

Web Developer, Problem Solver, Innovator

About me

Hi! My name is Alejandro Munoz (although most people call me Alex), and I'm an aspiring software developer. I'm currently in my final year studying a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at UTS.

I started coding when I was 14 years old, I grew up playing lots of video games and always wanted to make my own. So one day I just started doing some basic game tutorials using Visual Basic and fell in love with programming through that.

I'm currently looking for work at a company that will give me the oppurtunity to grow and develop my skills, I love learning and want to really push myself. I'd love to work on creative tech projects that involve design and code. I'm looking for Graduate roles!

Interesting facts about me:

When I'm not programming, I'm either training Parkour, playing guitar or trying to develop another one of the various skills I have. I have a large list of activities that I enjoy, so much that I struggle to find the time for everything. This includes juggling, guitar, skateboarding, slacklining, rockclimbing, parkour/freerunning and game development.

I got my theme here. It's called Hyperspace.

Cool stuff I've made 🚀

Cloomein InTouch

In 2018 I Co-Founded a startup company with two other Senior Software Developers, Miguel and Jason, and together we developed an app called Cloomein InTouch. The idea behind the app was that it allowed businesses to send updates to their clients on the progress of the service they were conducting. For example, Domino's Pizza has a pizza tracker that tells you when your pizza is being prepared, cooked, served, and then delivered. Our app idea was bringing this concept to every business and making it extremely affordable.

Covid-19 Tracker

This was a small fun project I did in my spare time. The aim was to create a small React JS App that uses an API to get the latest Covid-19 stats. I then hosted it using Netlify.

Cheque Writer

This is another small application that was built to convert numbers (up to 2 billion) to words. This was a task given to me by a company, I ended up hosting it on netlify.

Atari Missile Command Remake

This was the Game I developed for my Game Development class. I recreated the classic Atari Missile Command in Unity with all my own assets.
